We met incredibly early at 5.45 in the morning, in order to get the 7 o' clock boat from Newhaven to Dieppe. Fortunately the sea was very calm.

On arriving at the Parc Guy Weber, it struck us as being beautiful, peaceful and very different to the Lewes Railway Land, especially with the many modern sculptures there.
3. Un professeur anglais, accompagné de Pascal, un participant français, nous a donné un exemple saisissant.
One striking example was designed by a local teacher of English helped by Pascal, one of the French participants.
4. La sculpture représente 52 écrans d'ordinateurs, ce qui représente le nombre de semaine dans l'année et sur chacun d'eux il y a un code en morse, ce qui correspond à un message sur la communication électronique sur internet.
The sculpture consists of 52 computer screens, one for each week of the year and each one with a Morse code on it, spelling out a message about electronic communication on the web.
5. Cette sculpture représente une femme enceinte et on peut l' interpréter de différentes manières, cela peut signifier la « Nature », « l'origine ».
This sculpture represented a pregnant woman and can be interpreted in various ways especially the role of Mother Nature.
6. Nous avons pensé que cette sculpture pouvait symboliser le lien entre les gens et la Terre, les fourches étant utilisées par les hommes pour cultiver la terre.
We thought this sculpture symbolised the link between people and earth, the forks being used by humans to cultivate the land.
7. Une des oeuvres les plus remarquables représentait un homme qui jaillissait de la terre, cela signifie aussi le lien fort qui existe avec la Terre.
One of the most striking sculptures was of this man hauling himself out of the soil, again representing man's strong links with the earth.
8. Les étudiants, participants et encadrants ont tous joué au jeu d'orientation dans le parc, ce qui leur a permis de découvrir de nombreuses oeuvres comme les arachnides.
The students, participants and staff all played an orienteering game around the park, discovering numerous sculptures such as this arachnid.
9. Une autre activité du week end a consisté à reconnaître les sons d'oiseaux transmis par les hauts parleurs de la Maison de la Nature.
Another activity during the weekend involved recognising bird songs over the loudspeakers in the main room at the Parc.
10. Juste avant notre départ, nous avons visité le jardin potager de Patrick, un des encadrant français qui a expliqué à Monsieur Manktelow, notre professeur, comment il l'entretenait.
Just before our departure, we visited the vegetable garden where Patrick one of the French staff, explained how it was run to our teacher Mr Manktelow.
11. Ben a discuté avec les participants anglais et français à propos du chemin qu'il fallait parcourir le long des œuvres, ici avec Marianne, Pascal et Jeffrey.

13. Tout comme nous avons un Coeur de Roseaux à Railway land à Lewes, en France ils ont une roselière en forme de héron. Cette roselière pousse dans l'empreinte d'un héron et cette photo a été prise de l'Avenue Verte, une vieille voie de chemin de fer qui maintenant est une piste cyclable.
Just as we have Heart of Reeds at the Railway Land in Lewes, in France they have the reed heron. This bed of reeds is still growing into the shape of a heron and this photo was taken from the Avenue Verte, an old railway line which is now a cycle track.
14. Les participants français passent beaucoup de temps à cultiver des fleurs et légumes dans leur jardin (il y a 13 bacs).
The French participants spend much of their time cultivating vegetables and flowers in the garden where there are 13 raised beds.
15. Lulu, la chèvre, nous a montré sa nouvelle maison décorée où elle vit avec ses deux compères.
Lulu, the goat, showed off her newly decorated house where she lives with two pygmy goats.
16. Socrates, un vieil âne de 7 ans, a été donné au parc il y a 3 ou 4 ans.
Socrates, a 7 year old donkey, was brought to the Parc 3 to 4 years ago.
17. Socrates partage une pâture avec 2 poneys Shetland et semblent être totalement en paix dans ce monde.
Socrates shares a section of the Parc with two Shetland ponies and seems to be totally at peace with the world.
18. Les 4 garçons de l'école Stephen, Ben, George et James ont fait un petit film de leur temps passé au parc.
The four Priory boys, Stephen, Ben, George and James made a video diary of their time in the Parc.
